“Runnin’ with Sasquatch”
In life, there are two types of people. Those who run from Sasquatch. And those who run with Sasquatch. Which are you? That’s the philosophical conundrum we posed to position Jack Link’s Jerky as the protein snack to fuel active lifestyles.
Most times, when you cut an extra long-form piece in the edit, it never sees the light of day. Not this time. You see, this campaign was supposed to launch in March and that “Anthem” wasn’t on paper. But Jack Link’s hometown was hosting the Super Bowl and we saw an opportunity. With the national press and countless celebrities in our backyard, we expedited finishing while our media folks quickly negotiated a last-minute local buy for the big game to launch the campaign with triple the eyeballs.
To up the talk-value, we surrounded the launch with social, digital and non-traditional work, including a pair of custom Runnin' with Sasquatch cleats created specifically for The Viking’s "Minneapolis Miracle" wide receiver Stefon Diggs.
And all of Super Bowl week Sasquatch was everywhere around town. He attended parties, took pictures on the street and even zip lined with the Mayor over the frozen Mississippi.
Other spots launched online around the big game and ran on TV as planned in March.
