The Return of Egg Rolls.

The #1 egg roll brand had been off shelf for over two years because of hurricane damage to their factories. They needed to announce their return on a very limited budget. So we hyper-focused our campaign at the folks most likely to buy these snacks and share the word with their online community: meme-obsessed gamers.

“Put the egg rolls in!” was the campaign line. It was also our media strategy. With just the right combination of irreverence, honesty, and weirdness, we put egg rolls into everything our target consumes. Twitter, Reddit, TikTok, Twitch - we even partnered with Honest Trailers to make the first ever trailer for egg rolls.

And it worked. This incredibly dumb campaign won a Gold Effie.

Preroll and social videos took existing content and reimagined it as egg roll content.
